立命館大学内にある京野菜料理を提供するレストラン。その空間には、無数の“糸”が吊られている。2列に配された“糸”はその間に仕込まれた光を内包し、 見立ての壁や柱として構成されている。 光を内包した“糸”は表裏のない両面性を備え、アプローチと客席とを仕切っているが、“糸”の向こうの気配や目線をかすかに通し、空間をつないでいる。壁 から与えられる圧迫感は抑えられ、拡がりを感じる軽快な光の空間となっている。

 

This restaurant is specialized in Kyoto vegetables inside RITSUMEIKAN University in Kyoto. In this space, countless number of strings is hung. Two lined strings work like a partition wall and column. Although these strings are dividing the passage way and the seating area, you can still see and feel the air on the other side through semi-transparency of the strings. The heaviness of the wall has reduced with the strings, making the atmosphere lighter.
